Victor “Cameron” Dallyn was born on Monday, February 27, 1928 in Ribstone, Alberta to Victor and Virginia (Maib) Dallyn, this made Cameron the fourth of six children.

Cameron attended school in Ribstone, Alberta and then completed high school in Wainwright, Alberta. He then moved to Edmonton, Alberta to work and this is where he met the love of his life, Laura Letourneau.

On April 14, 1952 Cameron and Laura got married. Together they moved back to Ribstone, Alberta and worked in the store for his parents. They lived in the back of the store for six years and were blessed with two children; Brad and Brenda. Cameron bought a school bus in 1953 and continued to drive the bus for 54 years. In 1958 they bought a farm north of town and another son Greg was born. In 1960 they sold this farm and in September of 1960 they moved to the family farm owned by his parents. In 1968 another daughter was born; Charleene, but unfortunately, she passed away shortly after birth. In July 1979 Cameron and Laura moved to Chauvin and son Brad, with his wife Linda, with their family moved to the family farm where they still live today. Cameron continued to help on the farm and drive school bus until he retired at the age of 75 years. Dad was very involved in the farm and would help Brad and Linda in any way he could.

In September of 2009, Laura passed away. Cameron continued to live in Chauvin until March of 2018, when at the age of 90, he decided to move to the Hillcrest Lodge at Provost, Alberta.
Cameron passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Provost Health Care Centre at the age of 90 years.

Cameron will be forever remembered and lovingly missed by his three children, Bradley (Linda), Brenda (Donald) and Gregory (Tammy); grandchildren, Corey (Joline), Ryan (Shelley), Chris (Lacie), Lynette (Justin), Lori (Kevin), Lisa (Gary), Dustin (Ashley), Andrew (Joan), Kayla (Colin), Shannon (Shane) and Landan (Sarah); great grandchildren, Brandon, Logan, Sloane, Olivia, Owen, Kendyl, Berkley, Drew, Layne (Courtney), Lynnaya (Matthew), Anna, Dyson, Kendra, Nolan, Mason, Carson, Cole, Ashley, Myles, Keysha, Zack, Zane, Kooper, Bella, Nicolas, Connor and Parker; sister-in-law, Shirley; brother-in- law, Julian; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Cameron was predeceased by his wife, Laura; infant daughter, Charleene; infant granddaughter, Donna; siblings, Orville, Laura Belle, Lucille, Lawrence and Duane; sister- in -law, Marion; brother-in-law, Russell; and sister-in-law, Pat.

Brad & Linda, Brenda & Don, Greg & Tammy - I have many fond memories of your Dad but probably my favourite was him dropping off The Provost News while I was at the Post Office. We looked forward to those Tuesday visits. May good memories ease your sorrow. Betty Swanson
