Uncle Dave - a homesteader’s son who stayed on the farm. Hard working man with so many skills. Learned by watching and getting involved - self taught in so many things. Never hire someone when you can learn to do it yourself. I am sure he passed so much on to Heather, Lorne and all those grandchildren. Memories of all those summers on the farm helping from an early age - tinkering, driving tractors at 11 years, shooting rifles, haying, rolling rocks onto the stone boat, shovelling grain, harvest time, fixing anything that moved, and riding old Flora his horse from his school days. He watched over his mother (my grandmother) to keep her safe in her home till her last days - finally starting his own family with Freda and renewing the cycle. Rest in peace.
