Dale Francis Gregory was born on May 23, 1959 in Provost, Alberta to Buck and Teresa Gregory. He was the second of five children, arriving alongside his twin sister, Gail. In 1979, Dale met and married the love of his life, Annette Rowein. Together they built a life in Provost and raised their three children, Nicole, Travis and Mitchell, while creating many cherished memories at their summer home at Dillberry Lake.
Dale was well known throughout the community of Provost as a dedicated businessman and someone who truly cared about the town he called home. He took great pride in his work and in the role he played in helping his community grow and thrive. Dale believed in giving back to the people and places that meant the most
to him.
Beyond his work, Dale found his greatest joy outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and taking pride in his yard. Being in nature brought him a sense of peace. For Dale, time spent in the fresh air, sharing stories, teaching others, and enjoying the simple moments; was time well spent.
Dale was deeply devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren. Being their Papa was one of his greatest joys and proudest roles.
Dale will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Annette; his daughter, Nicole (Wes) and their children, Kennedy, Carter, Mason and Colson; his son, Travis (Nicole) and their children, Asher, Tenley, Kayne, Brooklynn, Gauge and Violet; and his son, Mitchell (Sharleen) and their children, Brecken, Brielle, McKinnley, and Kaleb.
Dale is also survived by his brother, Randy (Carol); his twin, sister Gail; sisters, Joy (Gary) and Kari; and his in-laws, Francis (Jackie), Tim (Joan), Sharon (Tim), and Randy (Brenda), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Buck and Teresa Gregory; his father-in-law, Alex Rowein; and nephew, Dylan Meredith.
Dale will be deeply missed & forever remembered for his humour, strong work ethic and the kindness he carried in his heart.
A funeral service for Dale will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Provost Recreation and Culture Centre with Pastor Paul McCormick officiating. A private family interment will follow at the Provost Cemetery with Father Avinash Francis SAC officiating. Family and friends are invited to stay at the hall for a time of celebration, fellowship, and refreshments.
