Arthur Karl was born on April 26, 1931, in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan to Herbert and Linda Fruson. He married Chris Andre on July 3, 1954, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at St Paul’s Lutheran Church. They lived on the family farm at Cactus Lake, Saskatchewan where they raised their family of four.

Surrounded by his family, Dad peacefully and quietly passed away on February 23, 2025, at St Joseph’s Integrated Health Centre in Macklin, Saskatchewan at the age of 93 years.

Dad was the youngest of four boys. He remained on the family farm where his passion for farming grew over the years. Then in 2004 he and Mom retired and moved to Provost, Alberta.

Once retired, his passion for farming was replaced with walking and socializing. He was known in town as the guy who could be seen walking down the street, stopping and talking to anyone and everyone.

Dad was a devoted Christian who would daily spend time reading, studying and praying in God’s word.

Dad was grateful and thankful, always positive even through the difficult times of dementia. With his smile, little shrug of his shoulder, and toothpick hanging from the corner of his mouth, he could always make you smile.

He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by:

He is survived by his brother Bill, sisters-in-law Darlene, Marjorie, Lynnette
Predeceased by his wife Chris, parents Herbert & Linda, brothers Ed & Herb

A Funeral Service for Art will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Luseland, Saskatchewan with Pastor Greg Palmer Officiating. Interment to follow at the Luseland Cemetery. *If travelling from Alberta, please remember one hour time difference*
