Loretta Perpetua Kohlman was born on December 6, 1937 in Macklin, Saskatchewan. She was the tenth child of twelve born to Nicholas and Rose Heffner.

Loretta married J. Gabriel Kohlman on November 5, 1966 and together they had five children, Mary Lynn, Colleen, Gloria, Gail and Brian.

Loretta passed away on March 31, 2025 at the Provost Health Centre in Provost, Alberta at the age of 87 years.

She will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 58 years, Gabe; children, Mary Lynn (Darren) Obritsch, Colleen Kohlman (Kyle Klassen), Gloria (Jason) Hartl, Gail (Rob) Wiebe and Brian (Roxanne) Kohlman; grandchildren, Kayla (Mike), Colton (Christin), Matthew, Bayley, Paisley, Mallory, Timothy, Simon and Victoria; great grandchildren, Lambertus and Nicholas; and sister, Evangeline (Tony) German; sisters in law, Phyllis (†Peter), Annette (†George) and Eleanor († Alex) and brother in law, Gary (†Elsie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Loretta was predeceased by her siblings, Regina (Peter), Euphrasia (Peter), Joseph (Kay), Zita (Wendelin), Nick (Marie), Elizabeth (Alec), Annrose (Peter) and Jack (Evy); brothers and sisters in law, Catherine (Leo), Caroline (August), Annie (Mike), August (Toni) and Christina (Don).

Vigil Service for Loretta will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Both services will be held at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Macklin, Saskatchewan with Father Santhosh Thekkekulam officiating. Interment will follow at the Macklin Lakeview Cemetery.
