Marj was such a wonderful person — full of warmth, humor, and love. My husband and I used to joke with her all the time about who she liked more. I’d say it was me, he’d say it was him, and Marj would just chuckle, keeping her answer to herself.
I remember asking her once why we didn’t get an invitation to her 90th birthday. She looked at me and said, “Family doesn’t need an invitation — you just need to bring a salad.” That was Marj: welcoming, genuine, and always making you feel like you belonged.
We will miss her deeply. Her heart had room for all of us, and she created a space where family — by blood or by bond — always felt at home.
