Obituary of Jim Fisher
Please share a memory of Jim to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James (Jim) Walter Fisher was born on October 2, 1954, to Walter & Elizabeth Fisher of Cactus Lake. He was raised on the family farm in Cactus Lake, where he attended school and worked on the farm and with Victor Scheck as a farmhand.
Jim worked most of his life as a professional truck driver where he was known for his reliability and skill on the road.
He was an avid musician and loved playing one of his many guitars, mandolin, violin and keyboard. Jim's passion for life extended beyond his professional and musical pursuits. He loved going on bike road trips with friends or just riding to Devon for ice cream with the dogs. He cherished moments spent outdoors, whether he was hunting in the crisp autumn air, casting a line into a serene lake, or simply gazing up at the constellations, finding peace in the vastness of the night sky.
He loved being with family and friends, sharing stories or jokes, and chatting on the HAM radio with friends worldwide. He loved and spoiled the dogs Chewy & Pepper.
He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Bernadette; his children, Donny (Tasha) and their son Otto; Diane (Neil) and daughter, Sophia; Darlene (Alister) and daughter, Willow; as well as many other family and friends.
Though we are not ready to say goodbye, he will be forever in our hearts, and we take comfort in knowing that God has bigger plans for Jim. He may no longer walk beside us, but he will forever watch over us with love.
