Obituary of Darrell John Witzaney

Darrell John Witzaney was born on July 13, 1959 at Macklin, Saskatchewan to parents, Hilda (Stang) and Florence Witzaney.

Darrell passed away at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on May 11, 2025, at the age of 65 years.

His battle with serious medical issues showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain Darrell came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Darrell had many passions, especially the Montreal Canadiens, curling, gardening and family to name a few.  But Darrell was especially proud and passionate about taking care of the town of Denzil.

Darrell is survived by his two sisters and two brothers, Janice (Rob) Christiansen, Faye (John) Drope, Mel (Penny) Witzaney and Wade (Manon) Witzaney; as well as extented family and many friends.

Funeral mass for Darrell will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Denzil, Saskatchewan with Father Santhosh Thekkekulam officiating. Interment to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Darrell's family suggests a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
