Norbert Francis Holzinger
September 6, 1933 – August 31, 2025

Norbert Francis Holzinger passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Camrose, Alberta, just days before his 92nd birthday. Born on September 6, 1933, in Bodo, Alberta, Norbert lived a full and meaningful life marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and a devoted love for his family.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Debbie (Charlie) Chisholm, and his son, Daren Holzinger. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Derrick Chisholm and Amanda (Nahed) Chisholm-Ahmed; and great-grandchildren, Amelia Ahmed and Louis Ahmed. Norbert is also survived by his brothers, Wayne (Darlene) Holzinger and Blayne (Wendy) Holzinger; sisters, Louise Scherger and Linda (John) Sieben; sister-in-law, Margaret Holzinger; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen; his parents, Lorenz and Monica; his brother, Edwin; and brother-in-law, Tony Scherger.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Provost, Alberta. Interment will follow at the Provost Cemetery. A live stream of Norbert's funeral will be available through the GFH Website.

Norbert will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
