Marjorie Grace Hager
August 8, 1930 – September 9, 2025

Marjorie Grace Pegg was born on August 8, 1930 in Provost, Alberta to Mildred and Frederick Pegg. Marjorie was raised on the family farm with chickens, cattle and grain. There were 8 children in this union.

Marjorie met Ernest Elmer Hager and fell head over heels and were married on October 17, 1953, after harvest of course. This union blessed them with 5 children, Myra, Lynnann, Eleanor, Alan and Wayne.

Mom worked along side dad milking cows, gathering eggs, butchering chickens, cutting hay, bailing hay plus keeping the house running and the children fed. Raising children was no worry for mom, just do what you have to do.

Marjorie will be greatly missed by her children, Myra Sonsteby, Lynnann (Bill) Gartner, Eleanor (Steve) Gartner, Alan (Charlene) Hager and Wayne Hager; as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Mildred; husband, Ernest; sister, Dorothy; brothers, Charles, Harold, George, Dennis and Trevor; mother and father in law, Ella and Sim Hager.

A funeral service to celebrate Marj’s life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lutheran Church in Provost, Alberta with Wayne and Darleene Skinner officiating. Interment to follow at the Provost Cemetery.
