Our hearts and hugs are with you, Don, Brad, Daryl, Pam and families. My first memory of Penny, was when I was a young child in our United church and Penny was a "fixture" of a Sunday School teacher. Members would come and go over the years, including ministers and their families, but Penny and Don,,,, always present,,,,, always faithful in following; and always contributing. Penny was a comfort both from the pew and from the church basement kitchen, whenever I returned home for a loved ones' funeral. Just this summer, after our final celebration of my beloved Aunt Joan Fraser, Penny sent a carafe with the remaining coffee home with Dad and I. Even my grown children remember "Penny,, that lady from the church kitchen"! Penny was not only our neighbour, but more importantly,,, the mom of those 3 CUTE little large-dimpled children! I even rode the bus with the first, Brad, and as we were both one of the last on the bus, he would often fall asleep on the way home. Don, may those dimpled- smiles of your 3 children (the 3 best gifts you and Penny gave to one another); along with their gifts of spouses and grandchildren, carry you through your earthly separation from Penny until you are reunited in Spirit.

Don, my deepest condolences go out to you and your family. Penny was a special lady.
She and I grew up just a few miles apart on neighboring farms near Cadogan. For twelve years we rode the same school bus...twice a day, ten months of the year. One gets to know a person quite well as you sit side by side on the bus for that long....comparing homework assignments, trying to figure out how fractions worked, chatting about the highlights of the day. Even then Penny's cheerful attitude and positive work ethic shone through.
Musical talent seems to be a Johnson family trait, and Penny certainly inherited that trait. Penny could make a piano "sing" in a way that made one stop to listen and tap your feet to the music.
She touched so many lives as a teacher, as a community volunteer, and as a friend. She will be missed.

We were heartbroken when we heard the news of Penny's passing. And we are now so very very glad that we shared an evening and day after the family reunion with Penny and Don. She, as usual made us feel right "at home" sitting at her kitchen table and sharing stories, remembrances and good humour. Don and family, we know you will miss her terribly and our hearts and love are with you all. Cousin Roger York and his wife Alison.

We are sending our most heartfelt condolences…our thoughts are with the entire family at this difficult time.
We are sharing in your sadness. Penny was such a special connection in our lives.
It’s the little things that make up memories, and we have an abundance of those from Penny.
We always admired Penny‘s kindness in the sharing
of information. She shared the entire family tree of the
KOZLINSKI family with all family names….the full history which connected us. We also still have all her letters going as far back as 1996. Her Christmas letters and family photos were the best.
It was a joy to have known Penny and her loss is deeply felt by all of us.
Sending hugs and strength with much love to Don and the entire family.

I remember Penny and Kent staying at our farm when we 6 years old (or lless). My parents were doing Grandpa Clink and Grandma Vera's chores while they were at the Ponoka Sampede (a 2 day event). The first morning we woke up about 5 o'clock in the morning and we decided to walk over to Grandma's house and make toast with their toaster because they had power. We trudged along the road and managed to get to the gate of their farmyard when Mom and Dad drove up madder than H,,,,. We didn't get our toast needless to say,but we had lots of fun getting there.
