Phillip Donald Arndt was born on July 21, 1948 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta to Arthur and Zilla Arndt.

With his family by his side, Phil passed away on December 4, 2025 at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 77.

A man whose hands were rarely still, Phil found joy working in the backyard, camping, fishing, golfing and playing hockey. He will be remembered for his quickness to help, his resourceful nature and his talent for truly 'MacGyvering' things up.

Phil will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Carol (nee Pahlke); his children, Cori (Brad) Hampson, Andrea Arndt and Dana (Brandi) Arndt; and his cherished grandchildren, Kennedy, Bennett, Anwen and Asher.

He is also survived by his brothers, Ken (Kathy) Arndt, Gerald (Evelyn) Arndt, Lawrence (Joanne) Arndt, Lorrie (Lori) Arndt; brother-in-law Norris (Ruth) Pahlke as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Zilla Arndt; and in-laws, Ed and Eileen Pahlke.

A funeral service will be held for Phil on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Provost United Church with Pastor Paul McCormick officiating. Interment to follow at the Provost Cemetery.
