Obituary of Eugene Arnold Perry

Eugene Arnold Perry, fondly known as Gene, was born July 10, 1954, in Wainwright, Alberta, third child of Douglas and Eleanor Perry.

After a short valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer with family by his side, he passed December 8, 2025, at the Lloydminster Hospital at the age of 71 years.

Gene loved his family, his farm, his cattle, and curling. He took his community commitments very seriously and was always available to help wherever needed. A man of many skills and bountiful knowledge, he could set his hands to almost any task and complete it with mastery: Be it welding, carpentry, growing crops or caring for livestock. He felt that feeding the world was a noble profession.

Gene will be missed dearly by his loving wife, Bev (Haldenby) of 45 years; his son Logan and daughter-in-law Megan and deeply cherished grandchildren, Quinn and Oliver; and his daughter, Brittney and partner Adam.

He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Janet); sister, Iris; and his parents-in-law, Mel and Ruth Haldenby; as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter Crysta; and his parents, Douglas and Eleanor.

A funeral service for Gene will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chauvin Community Hall.
