Aunt Vangie will be greatly missed by her many family members and friends. She always has a warm smile for everyone and truly delighted in seeing you! I enjoyed spending time with Aunt Vangie during the summer holidays. Highlights during this time included cooking, being in her garden, trips to Luseland along with treats. Everyone was welcome at the family farm and Aunt Vangie, Uncle Tony, & Uncle Herman were always such great hosts. There would of course be lots of visiting, card games and an enormous amount of yummy food. Aunt Vangie had many talents including cooking, canning, gardening, crochet, sewing, card games as well as her love of visiting with family and friends. My deepest condolences to Uncle Tony & Uncle Herman on your loss. The world has lost a special person but we find comfort in knowing she has found eternal peace rejoicing in heaven.

Vangie was a special person to me, one of my very favourite people when I was little. When I would come to town to the grocery store with my mom, I looked forward to seeing her - that warm smile and her presence always made me feel special. She would sometimes give me a chocolate bar too – I hope she didn't get in trouble for that… Vangie was truly someone who made me excited to see her, as she seemed to value seeing me. So sorry to hear of Vangie's passing. She was a special person to me long before she became my step aunt. Her obituary described her perfectly, she was so open and kind to everyone and so humble and devoted. Her beautiful face was always smiling and her arms ready to open with a hug. Even though she had many things she could complain about she always said she was doing fine with the dedicated loving care from Tony and Herman. I will.miss her birthday calls but know she is in God's loving arms, rejoined with family and forever in peace. Thank you Vangie for having a place in your heart for me .
