Obituary of Sandra Louise Schuetzle

Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sandra (Sandi) Louise Schuetzle was born on December 13, 1963, in Coronation, Alberta, the second child of Lenard and Beryl Ward. Her life’s path eventually brought her to Carstairs, Alberta, where she met Glenn, her lifelong partner. They were married on November 1, 1986. During her years in Carstairs, Sandra formed lasting friendships, grew in her faith, and began building her family with Glenn. They had three daughters, Danelle, Carissa, and Reanne.

In 1996, they took over the family farm just outside of Kirriemuir, Sandra began selling Mary Kay and returned to the workforce in 2001 at Roger's Appliances as an insurance broker, retiring in May 2025.

Sandra was known for her strong sense of order and took pride in everything she did. Her home reflected this care, filled with antiques and family history, each item thoughtfully placed and meticulously maintained. She found joy in puzzling, quilting, cleaning, playing the piano, and hunting for good sales (especially shoes). Pink was her favourite colour, and it showed. Gift-giving was one of Sandra’s greatest joys, as she had a special talent for choosing meaningful gifts that expressed her love and thoughtfulness.

Sandra passed away surrounded by her family on January 25, at Dulcina Hospice, at the age of 62.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Glenn; daughters Danelle (Jon), Carissa (Bryce), and Reanne (Spencer); her granddaughters Zoe, Esme, and Isabella; grandson Henry; father, Lenard Ward; brother Calvin (Donna); and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Beryl Ward; her brother, Charles; and her nephew, Craig Ward.

A funeral service for Sandra will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Altario School. A private family interment will take place at the Kirriemuir Cemetery.  For those unable to attend, a live stream of Sandra’s service will be available through her page on the Gregory’s Funeral Home Inc. website.
