I am saddened to have just learned of Ches's passing. My memory of Ches was he exuded an aura of honour! What a wonderful man, one whom I seldom crossed paths with but one who had a huge impact on me as a young girl growing up. My sympathies to all the family. You were all blessed to have had such an inspiring icon and role model to leave such an astounding legacy!

Mr. Spornitz was a positive influence on the many who passed his way, including me. I often hear his voice in my head when driving; "You'd be right but you'd be dead right (his warning about the other poor drivers on the road). His Driver's Ed road trips have likely saved my life and many others. I still feel guilty that I faked a wrist injury to get out of tire-changing class but am a faithful member of AMA because of it. I am thankful to what he, and your family, have added to the community I still call Home,
