Obituary of Anton Theodore Fleck

Anton "Tony" Fleck passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026 at the age of 90 years at the Provost Long Term Care Facility. Tony was born to Anton and Johanna Fleck on April 30, 1935 in Provost, Alberta. He was raised on the family farm at Bodo, Alberta.

Tony loved the farming way of life, he spent his years doing what he knew best, working his fields, caring for his cattle and tending to the farm, that was both his livelihood and his home.

Tony will be missed by the friends he met through his rodeo travels. His presence will live on in the fields he walked and the land he loved.

Tony leaves to mourn his sister, Jeanne Kirk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Tony was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Johanna; sisters, Madeline (Phillip) Fischer, Emma (Robert) Dupuis and Johanna (Jack) Kraft; brothers, John (Matilda) Fleck, Alphonse Fleck and Elfagues (Velma) Fleck; and brother in law, Don Kirk.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Tony on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Provost, Alberta with Father Avinash Francis SAC officiating. Interment will follow at the Provost Cemetery.
