Obituary of Gordon Roy Brown

Gordon was born on January 31, 1955 in Unity, Saskatchewan. He received his education in Senlac. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, golfing, camping, and gathering around campfires. Whether he was spending time at the lake, enjoying winters in Mexico, or relaxing at Poplar Point—one of his favorite places—he cherished every moment with those he loved.

His family and friends meant the world to him. He had a remarkable ability to make lasting connections, and many of the people he worked alongside at Target Excavating became like family. He was a gifted woodworker who loved building things with his hands and, in later years, became an avid gardener, taking great pride in the plants and gardens he nurtured wherever he was, especially at the lake.

He will be remembered for his generous heart, his craftsmanship, his love of nature, and the many memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.

Gordon passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on June 28, 2026 at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 71 years.

He will be forever missed and loved by his family, son, Curtis (Ami) and their sons, Gage, Garrett and Griffin; daughter, Danae; their mother, Dorothy Brown; sister, Gloria (Frank) Laverty and family; brother, Ian (Heather) Brown; sister in law, Donna Brown and family; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gordon was predeceased by his parents, John and Reeta; brother, Malcolm; and granddaughter, Aubri.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at Provost Hospital for their compassionate care, as well as to the many friends and members of the community for their kindness, support, and encouragement during this difficult time.

Friends and family are invited to a graveside service which will be held for Gordon on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Senlac Cemetery. All are invited to join the family following the graveside at the Senlac Hall for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
