Obituary of Anna Mary Weinkauf

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Anna Mary Weinkauf, who entered into rest on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Sherwood Park Care Center, Sherwood Park, AB. Anna Mary was born July 14, 1925 at Macklin, Saskatchewan to Christopher & Josephine (nee Bichel) Dielschneider. She grew up with her siblings on the farm near Primate, SK. On June 6, 1944 she married Joseph John Weinkauf. Anna Mary & Joe farmed until 1953, then moved to Primate, SK where they owned the General Store until 1967. Following this, together they operated the post office until 1973, when they decided to move to Sherwood Park for a short time. In 1978, Anna Mary & Joe moved to Macklin, SK, where Anna Mary remained until January of 2007, when she then moved to Discovery Place in Devon, AB. Anna Mary spent her last few months at the Sherwood Park Care Center. She will be forever remembered by her loving children, Chris (Rena) Weinkauf of Devon, AB, Dolores Sieben of Sherwood Park, AB, Wilfred Weinkauf of Sherwood Park, AB, Rita (Tony) Gillard of Reidville, Newfoundland & Leonard (Maggie) Weinkauf of Sherwood Park, AB; grandchildren, Kerry, Tracy (Richard), Troy, Andrea, Darcy, Nicole, Billy, Leah (Neil); great-grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Brynn, Madison, Dirk & Nathan; brothers, Tony (Shari) & Peter (Joyce); sisters, Katie & Bernie; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Anna Mary was predeceased by her husband, Joe; son, Alfred; sister, Madeline; brothers in law, Joe & Herman.
