Obituary of Trevor Gifford Pegg
Please share a memory of Trevor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Trevor Gifford Pegg was born on December 9, 1931 in Provost, Alberta to parents, Frederick and Mildred Pegg.
Trevor was an honest man he lived a simple life, the lifestyle he chose to live. He was an outdoorsman; he valued the rising and the setting sun in a day and whatever nature held. From the scenery to the plant life, wildlife, fish, birds, and animals of every sort.
His passion was farming with his brother, Dennis. Often you could find them together, skating, swimming near the farm, hunting, fishing, trapping, and guiding. He would often sit and behold and enjoy the basic surroundings with a pair of binoculars. He was ingenious, creative, and extremely handy designing tools or devices that they required for their everyday living.
Upon encountering Trevor and Dennis, you often could get a distinct scent of the warming campfire smoke that they carried on themselves from their wood burning stove. He knew how to live off the land, he enjoyed to garden and pick berries. Trevor had a kind and gentle demeanor and a soft heart. He was witty and had a wonderful sense of humor.
He had an impeccable memory for names, people, history, cultures, and for current events, and those of the past.
Anyone fortunate enough to have associated or to perhaps had their hearts touched by Trevor would be a better person for it. Trevor passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023 at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 91 years. May you be reunited with your lifelong companion Denny. Like Denny used to say, “Cheerio.” Goodbye Trevor may you forever rest in peace.
Trevor leaves to mourn his sister, Marjorie Hager; as well as many extended nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Mildred; Sister, Dorothy Pegg; brothers, Charles, Harold, George and Dennis.
