Obituary of Eleanor Gertrude Sperling

Eleanor Gertrude Sperling was born on May 20, 1925 in Provost, Alberta to parents, Joseph and Elsa Frank. She was the oldest of three daughters including, Vera and Irene.

She married Clarence Broemeling, where they lived on the farm and had three children together; Lana, baby Alice, and Roger.

After the death of her husband and son, she moved to Edmonton to teach for a while then moved back to Provost and married Mike Sperling.

Later when Mike passed she eventually moved into Hillcrest lodge with her sister, Irene where they lived across the hall from each other for many years.

Eleanor passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023 at the Wainwright Long Term Care at the age of 98 years.

She was predeceased by both husbands; her children; and sister, Irene.

A Funeral Service will be held for Eleanor on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Gregory’s Funeral Home Chapel in Provost, Alberta with Father Christopher Selvaraj Rayappan Sac officiating. Interment will follow next to her Husband, Mike at the Provost Cemetery.
