Marlene Clark was born on September 19, 1964, the youngest of four children to Pat and Shirley Horn. Marlene spent her childhood living on the family farm south of Amisk. She enjoyed all the aspects of country living. After graduating high school in 1982, she attended Camrose Lutheran College for two years and then transferred to the University of Alberta to finish off her education.
Marlene and Dick were married July 14, 1990 and were married for 34 wonderful years. They were blessed with one daughter, Abby in 1995.
Surrounded by the love of her family, Marlene passed away on January 5, 2024, at the Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 59 years.
Marlene leaves to mourn her loving husband, Dick; daughter, Abby and son in-law, Jamie; grandson, Rylan and unborn granddaughter; sister, Gerene (Robin) and their children, Jenna (Levi) and their daughter, Reese Schwenk; Mikayla (Brady) Gould; special sister in-law, Marilyn Horn and her children, Leslie (Niki) and their daughters, Olivia and Sarah Horn; Travis (Kandi) and their daughter, Kayden Horn; nieces, Megan (Jared) Horn; Melissa (Brian) Magnusson; nephew, Cole (Megan) and their sons, Beckett and Brady Horn; two brothers; sister in-law, Edith and her children, Carol (Darcy), Joshua, Mathew, Nathan, Chelsea Fischer, Kurt (Crystal) Begin; brother in-law, Pat (Penny) and their children, Monty (Mamie), Ashlyn, Arlo, Rhett; Carli (Chris) and their sons, Logan and Reid.
She was predeceased by parents, Pat and Shirley Horn; father in-law, Wilbur and mother in-law, Jesse Clark.
A Funeral Service will be held for Marlene on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hughenden Community Hall. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery.
