Obituary of Janet Dorothy Cameron

Janet Dorothy Cameron was born November 3, 1914 near Cairns, Alberta, the eldest of nine children born to James and Dorothy Mailer. She had a happy childhood even though times were hard. After High School, Janet and her sister Carel attended Vermilion School of Agriculture, the class of 1937 to 1939. On July 1st, 1940 she and Rae Cameron were married. They had two sons, James and David. Rae and Janet had a busy life together on the Roworth and Cameron Ranch and were fortunate to celebrate almost 62 years of marriage. She passed away peacefully on February 28, 2013 at the Provost Health Centre- Long Term Care at 98 years of age. Janet leaves to mourn her sons, James (Carole) and David; grandchildren, Tracie (Rob) and Tyler; great grandchildren, Alex, Quinn, Bretton, Graysen, Jaeden, Mitchell and Raena; brother, Bryce (Verna); sister, Carel (Scot); sisters in law, Millie Cameron, Mary Mailer and Shirley Mailer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Rae; grandson, Todd; four brothers and two sisters.
