Donna was a beautiful woman.
In the summer of 1986 (or '87) my mom (Leona) introduced me to her and Diane. They were two strikingly beautiful young women, smart, funny, determined, hardworking, generous and kind.
For the next several months we hung out together many times. On nights when we went to a movie, walking along together, one hooked into my right arm and the other into my left, we turned many heads. Three tall young people ... who looked and felt like they had great things awaiting them in life's journey.
Sady we lost touch as we move to different parts of North America. But I've always cherish those memories of us together. Just amazing cousins.
It was a fluke that I came across this extremely sad news today of Donna's passing. I had always hoped that somehow we'd reconnect and enjoy many more times together. I'm deeply saddened. But as I watch the video and listened to the stories and memories that were shared, clearly she had continued in her life much as I remembered her ...
You will always be missed, cousin.
