Sorry to hear the passing of Geraldine. I have lost contact of her for a long time. Our parents knew each other and we grew up as friends. We use to ride horses. My dad worked on the CNR. Both my parents are deceased now . Our last name was Abday. Small world as know I live in Fort QuAppelle and read the times paper and found out of her passing.
My condolences to the family.. she was always a fun person. Rest in peace.

In the 1960s, Geraldine was a classmate (one of the "older girls") in our one-room schoolhouse at Gillespie Saskatchewan. We were childhood friends through high school, and I always looked up to her. I remember well her hospitality at the Betham family farm. Our paths went different directions after high school, but thankfully, we reconnected a few years ago. My sincere condolences to all of Geraldine's family. What legacy she leaves with you, and all of us. Catherine Barnsley
