Obituary of Elaine Edna Hunter

Elaine Edna was born June 16, 1950 to Peter and Edna Schlosser in Provost, Alberta. After a life of devotion and a short battle with cancer, Elaine passed away on March 4, 2013 at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 62 years. Elaine will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband, Keiver; children, Jody (Jason) Buxton of Amisk, Mark (Leslie) of Provost, Aden (Chelsy) of Wainwright, and Rocky (Monica) of Hughenden; grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, Kendal, Brandon, Levi, Savannah, Nathan, Kody, Rhys, and Sadie; brother, Joe (Grace) Schlosser; sisters-in-law, Helen (Hugh) Lavender, Ilene (Don) McKay, Dawn (Harvey) Bargholz, Judy Schlosser, Diane Schlosser-Kish, and Pauline Nilson Beattie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended realtives, friends, and neighbors. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Edna Schlosser; brothers, Ron and Allen; brothers-in-law, Ken and Gordon. Beside Grandma's bed we found the book, "One Word from God" by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. Grandma had the following excerpt highlighted, she found comfort in these words therefore we wanted to share them with you; "I am a believer. I'm not a doubter. The Word works in me; and at this moment, I humble myself under the mighty hand of God. From this moment forward, I refuse to worry. Instead, I will pray. I will use my faith and He'll exalt over the problem. For I belong to Jesus. He's made me to sit with Him in heavenly places. I've put on the whole Armor of God. From this very moment, with Jesus as my helper, I'm carefree. He has my cares. He'll work them out. He'll do it. He'll finish the work."
