Obituary of Edith Lillian Bounting

Edith Lillian Bounting passed away on April 3, 2024 in the compassionate and excellent care of the staff at Poplar Court in Wilkie, Saskatchewan as well with her family by her side, at the age of 97 years.

Edith was born on January 2, 1927, to Wm and Lillian Hammell. She spent her life in the community of Senlac, Saskatchewan.

She married Lawrence "Laurie" Bounting on July 5, 1950, in Provost, Alberta. Together they had four children, Cathy (Clark), Glen (Laureen), Norma (Terry) and Karen (Dale).

Mom loved family gatherings, doing puzzles, watching curling and Jeopardy, spending time with her grandchildren, bus tours with friends and spending the winters with her sister, Grace in B.C after dad passed.

Mom was always there to help her family and rarely complained about anything but she certainly had her opinions.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Laurie in 1999, parents and siblings.

A Memorial Service for Edith will be held at a later date.
