Obituary of Julie Anne Waltz

Julie Anne Waltz was born in Mannville, Alberta, on August 25, 1974. At 3 months old, she joined the family of Ken and Bernice Waltz, along with Darren and Coreen. At the age of 4 she was adopted and completed the Waltz family living on the farm north of Clandonald. The Waltz family moved to Entwistle in 1977 and then to a farm in the Peace River area. Julie took her schooling in Peace River and went on to complete her business administration certificate at college. After working in a real estate office in Peace River, Julie then moved to Kingston, Ontario, and worked in an insurance office for a few years.
In 2005, Julie returned to Peace River and began her career as a truck driver, which took her all over Western Canada and the Territories. She drove through the mountains and across the prairies, hauling all kinds of cargo, including freight, chips, condensate, crude. She also hauled diesel on the ice roads. Julie continued this career until her passing.
In 2020, Julie settled in Provost. In 2022 she committed her life to God and was faithful in her choice, saying a number of times that it ‘’has been the best two years of her life’’.
Julie leaves to mourn her passing her son, Miles (Stephanie) and their children, Selena and Jasmine; daughter, Kynderley and her children, Harmony and Zavierah; son, Brandon; parents, Ken and Bernice; brother, Darren (Nikki) and their children, Drusilla, Chet (Annie), Avonlea and Stratton; brother-in-law, Ryan (Tracy) and their children, Zarah, Kwyntin, Kit and Kayah; long-time friend, Terry Morey and many extended family members, friends and coworkers.
Julie was predeceased by her sister, Coreen.
Julie was happy and kind and had a contagious giggle with a bright smile. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral service for Julie will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Provost & District Agriplex (Curling Rink).
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
