Growing up my Dad (Jack Joys) used to take us to the farm during “branding season” we would spend time with Frank and Darlene and watch all the farm activities. So many fond memories. Darlene was always such a great host and very loving. Sending my condolences to the family ❤️❤️

I remember our visits to the farm when I was younger and Frank& Darlene were operating it.
Her hard working attitude was always evident at all times.
My brother Jack spent many times out at the farm and was very good friends with the family.
My condolences to her Family from the Joys family.

My grandma was at the centre of so many unforgettable moments in my life. She had her own unique way of doing things, and that’s what made her so memorable to all of us.
Her baking was something I’ll always treasure, especially her Lefsa every Christmas. It was a tradition that brought us all together, and somehow, even though my parents (Sid + Jolayne) and I have gotten pretty close to the original recipe, it always tasted better when she made it. (sorry Dad)
She was also my favourite card game opponent and one of the few people that could match my competitive nature. So of course she'd really let me hear it when she won. Let’s be clear, I definitely beat her a few times, though she’d never admit it. It was all part of her charm, that playful stubbornness that always made us chuckle.
One of my favourite memories was when she would let me play with her Mother’s jewellery. She would help me sort through it to find matching sets, like it was a little puzzle we were solving together. Sometimes she would find a piece that would spark a memory, which always led to a great story. Those small moments meant more than I realized at the time.
While I am not able to be there in person to say goodbye to Grandma, I will be there in spirit. My condolences to everyone who has faced this loss. Hold on to the memories, tell your loved ones you love them, and keep Grandma Manning in your thoughts. I love you all.
