Obituary of Clara Meredith

Please share a memory of Clara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clara Winnifred was born to Harvey & Winnifred Reed on September 21, 1924 in Macklin, Saskatchewan. She passed away August 16, 2013 at St. Joseph's Health Centre at 88 years of age. Clara married Edward Ernest Meredith in November 1946 and together they created Meredith Family Farms where they would raise their family and where Bob & Linda and James & Anna continue to run the family farm. She loved being a farm wife, enjoying all the aspects of farming, gardening, and caring for chickens and farm animals. Clara remained on the farm after Ernie passed away and continued to garden and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved sports and had many trips to watch curling all over Canada. After she moved to Macklin, in 2004, she spent many happy hours playing bingo and watching her grandsons play hockey. She always remained interested in the farm and loved to go for car trips with her brother to see the fields, especially at harvest time. Clara will be forever remembered by her daughter, Shirley (Merv) Ernest, and their children, Derek (Barb) and Dustin (Cristin); great-grandsons, Kyren and Fynn; son, Robert (Linda), and children, Evan (Nikoline), James (Anna); great-grandsons, Colton and Corbin; Dylan (Randi Lynn); great-grandson, Jack; brother, James Reed; sisters-in-law, Diana Reed, Phyllis Strogan, Joan Meredith, Delphine Meredith, and May Owen; many nieces and nephews; as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by husband, Ernie in 1995; brothers, Allan and William Reed; and sisters, Myrtle Lawrence and Margaret Warsaba.
