Obituary of Dale Leroy Hager

Dale Leroy Hager was born at Provost, Alberta on May 15, 1939, the oldest son, to Frank and Madge Hager. Dale grew up farming in the Hayter area. Farming was a large part of his life. He enjoyed the simple things and found joy in gardening in his later years. He enjoyed traveling and especially loved Hawaii. Family meant everything to Dale. It brought great joy to him when his house was full and his kids would stay overnight. When asked what kind of legacy he wanted to leave his children and grandchildren, Dale said, "To love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul". Dale left this world and went on to glory November 19, 2013 at the age of 74 years.
Dale will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all and leaves behind a loving wife, Gretel; 7 children, Rodney, Debra (Dean) Scammell, Natalie Ackerman, Cameron (Nokie) Hager, Mona (Jerry) Fayant, Melisa (Jon) Bensler, Gina (Bryan) Wiens; 22 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Allene (Arvid) Paulguaard, Carol (Floyd) Johnston, Kathy Lawrence, Dixie (Henry) Sleger, Graham (Sue) Hager, Jackie Hager; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
Dale is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Madge Hager; grandson, Joel Hager; son-in-law, Norm Ackerman; and brother, Brian Hager.
