Richard Henry Stang was born in the Macklin hospital in 1921. On December 24th he passed away in Macklin at the St. Joseph's Health Centre at the age of 90 years. After leaving the Peter Stang homestead Richard married Cecilia Bichel in 1946. Together they farmed three miles west of Primate for over 30 years where they raised nine children. Richard enjoyed time with his family. He loved playing cards and would never turn down good food. He will be deeply missed. His gentle spirit and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in the house of the Lord forever. He leaves behind his four daughters, Isabel (Antoon), Delores (John), Claire, Joan (Lavern); sons, Elmer (Mary), Dennis (Colleen), Steve (Leanne), and Richard Jr.; daughter in law, Deanna; brothers, Leo, Emmanual (Nora); sisters, Katie and Agnes; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, Anastasia's six sons and their families. Richard was predeceased by both his first wife, Cecilia Bichel; second wife, Anastasia Sieben; son, Ernest; grandson, David Ferrel.
