Obituary of John Rolheiser
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Wilfred Rolheiser was born on February 5, 1932 in Macklin, Saskatchewan to Alex and Elizabeth (Baier) Rolheiser. He passed away on November 26, 2014 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 82 years.
John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend. John had a great passion for music. He played for more than 60 years and was still entertaining in the Villa, the nursing homes, and the occasional dance. Farming was a big part of his life and given the opportunity, he would still drive a tractor all day long.
Family was so important to John. People were important to him in general. Everywhere he'd go, he would find someone to sit and talk with and usually found out, one way or another, that they were related.
John will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of 47 years, Agnes; four children, Bonnie Genest (Jeff) and their children Isaac and Olivia; Eric (Catherine); Trina Stang (Neil) and their children Joshua, Jonah, and Kennedy; Stacey (Kayla) and their son Jaeden; as well as, his brother, Alex (Emilie) Rolheiser; sisters Hilda (Joe) Rottmar, Doreen (Bernard) Gartner, Victoria (Mike) Schlosser, Delphina (August) Weinkauf, Kathy (Victor) Scheck and Delores (Leonard) Schlosser; sister in law, Kathleen Rolheiser; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was predeceased by his parents Alex and Elizabeth; brother, Hubert; sister, Sr. Donata; and brother in law, Adam Kloster.
