Leola Gartner was born to Jacob Stang and Ameila Heffner on the homestead near Macklin, Saskatchewan on March 8, 1922. She passed away peacefully on January 14, 2012 at St. Joseph's Health Centre at Macklin at the age of 89. Leola married Michael Adolph Gartner on September 28, 1943 at Provost, Alberta. They were blessed with twelve children - seven sons and five daughters. Leola is survived by her eleven children, 29 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren; Aquina (Jerome) Kohlman: Leanne (Jamie) McFarland Maralyn (Curt) Snook: Cherida, Shayde and Whisper; Lia Deana (Bert) Keller: Stephanie (Dave) Sullivan; Calvin (Liana), Akäo and Ennën James (Yvette): Clayton (Yvonne), Courtney, Dannique, and Liam; Chad (Candace), Troy and Alexiana; Cameron (Brandi), Tanner and Allie Michael (Karen): Craig; Ciara, Dusti and Jade Edith (Barry) Ruth: Corrine (Shaun) Heidt, Brett, Kristen, Brooklyn; Keri-Lynn William (Lynnann): Matthew; Sheldon (Josie), Jaxon Hubert (Dorothy): Kimberly (Craig) Gibson, Elizabeth and Rachael; Tyler; Alana Stephen (Eleanor): Allycia (Conrad) L'Heureux, Dylan, Joseph; Shalee (Kris) Kushnerick; Jacob (Lacey) Randolph (Elizabeth): Dominick (Jackie); Colton; Allyson; Miranda Peggy (Gerard) Stang: Rebecca; Collin (Bridget), Ayva; Adam (Kayley), Noah Vincent (Brenda): Kalie; Taylor She is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and William Stang; two sisters, Theckla Sperling and Roseline Buchner; and four sisters-in-law, Noella, Ida, Josephine and Doreen Stang. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Michael Gartner; one daughter, Deana Keller; two grandsons, Andrew Stang and Dustin Gartner; and one great granddaughter, Keala Keller; her parents Jacob and Ameila Stang; two sisters Lena Sieben and Dorothy Stang; six brothers, John, Reinhold, Peter, Edwin, Hubert, and Ambrose Stang; three sisters-in-law, Mathilda, Josephine and Eleanor Stang; three brothers-in-law, Ambrose Sieben, Jack Sperling, and Nick Buchner. Leola will always be remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her.
