My sympathy to your family at this time. I was a sales rep with Viterra in Provost and come to know Don through our dealings over a couple of years. He was a true gentleman; and someone who I really enjoyed visiting with. His ability to make me feel like his friend was a gift that I will always remember. Take care !!

Our thoughts are with you. Such a sad and sudden loss. It is hard not to smile when thinking of Donald. He always had such a big smile on his face, but there was devilment there too. He was deeply involved in his community and did a great job in whatever he set out to do. Whenever I see the number 17, I think of Donald. (His ball #) You can be proud of him for all he has accomplished.

Janice and Family: I am sending my deepest condolences. Janice I am grateful to have met you and Donald through Provost Toastmasters', I learned alot from both of you. It was always a pleasure to hear your stories of adventure on the farm. Donald was a great Parlementarian for the club - he came up with some crazy words for us to try and use and as I recall he enjoyed the "Breaktime" with lots of your homemae goodies. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. May your memories help you through this. Take Care.

I would first like to pass on our deepest condolences to all of Don's family. I was truly shocked to hear of his passing. I would like to share with you a funny little story that I remember from Don and Janice's early beginnings on the farm. I was still a teenager when they got married and I was staying at my sister and brother-in-law's (Eileen and Skip Large's) place at Poplar Lodge Ranch. Don and Janice had just gotten married and were building a new house on the farm. The house had progressed enough to the point were they were living in their basement while they were finishing the upstairs. It was a dark night and a lot of Don and Janice's friends decided they were going to get together and have a surprize shivaree at their new home. When we got there, the door was locked and we tried not to make too much noise but someone brought a shot gun along and fired it off. There was a lot of hurried scrambling going on from that basement and much to Don and Janice's surprize a big party ensued and a fun time was had by all.
Don, I will always remember that big grin and nice smile you always seemed to carry with you.
Sincerely,
Ed & Margaret Holmberg
