Obituary of Violet Isabel McGillivray

Violet Isabel McGillivray was born on September 4, 1921 to Elmer and Margaret Theaker in Provost, Alberta. She peacefully entered eternal rest March 30, 2015 while residing at Provost Health Care Centre - Long Term Care at 93 years of age. Violet married Earle on February 4, 1942 and together they farmed and raised their family just a few miles northeast of Provost. Violet will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, Grace (Joseph) Schlosser of Sherwood Park, John (Beverly) McGillivray of Provost, Gwen (Ron) Smith of Camrose, Ross (Brenda) McGillivray of Provost; grandchildren, Val (Rob), Neil (Kim), Trent (Jennifer), Kevin, Wendi (Darren), Monte (Raegan), Kirk (Nerissa), Janal (Rob), Dwayne (Mandy), Darren (Alana), Ashley (Dana) and Amber (Dalton); great grandchildren, Luke, Liam, Sarah, Ben, Johnathan, Cashton, Savannah, Brittany, Blayze, Landyn, Ryan, Kenzie, Lochlan, Addison, Kole, Kadie, Victoria, Nixon, Ty, Nate, Lyla, Autumn and Dakota, Peyton, Mason; sisters, Victoria Halvorson, Mabel Hope, Verna Mailer, Joan Hochhausen and Jean Clipperton; sisters in law, Myrtle Stranger and Joan Lee; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Violet was predeceased by her husband, Earle and brother, Lorne Theaker.
