Obituary of Barbara Mary Erker

On January 29, 2016 Mrs. Barbara Erker passed away at the St. Joseph's Health Centre at the age of 96 years. Barbara Marie Schiele was born November 7, 1919 to John and Maria (nee Jahner). She married Joseph Erker March 1, 1943 and together they would raise their family of four boys on the farm in the Grosswerder District at Cactus Lake, Saskatchewan. Barbara enjoyed many things in life - gardening, cards but most important, family. She will be forever missed by the many people she knew. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Arnold (Lorraine) Erker, Ron (Bernie) Erker, Dave (Gail) Erker and Dennis (Monica) Erker; grandchildren, Travis (Kylee), Clinton (Leann), Alan (Marlene), Jaron (Danielle), Janessa (Erik), Janeen (Rob), Crystal, Jason (Karma), Danielle and Alexa; great grandchildren, Chelsey, Dyson, Evan, Andrew, Jenessa (Cris), Keira, Maya, Kohen, Nathan, Aiva, Olivia, Maliyah and Mya; sister, Lena Cartwright; brothers in law, Jack (Agnes) Erker and Ray (Christa) Erker; sister in law, Rose Erker; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Joseph (1993); brothers, John, Martin, Albert, Andrew, Adolph & Joseph; sisters, Katherine (Katie), Francis, Elizabeth (Betty) and Dorothy.
