Dear Margie and family. It is with sadness that we learned of Roland's passing. The memorial write up reflects, so well, how dedicated Roland was to his family, his farm and to his community. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Vern always spoke very well of him and always emphasized what a wonderful, helpful neighbor he found him to be. We are in California so will miss attending his service but your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Thinking of you all as you prepare to say goodbye to Roland. He wasn't my Father in Law for very long but in the short time I got to know him, I can certainly see how even a man of few words could have a big impact on so many people. I will remember him as a Gentle Giant.
