Obituary of Isobel Monica Doets

Isobel was born October 4, 1930 in Bradwell, SK and grew up in Allan, SK. She married Mr. Mattheson and worked as a telephone operator in Plenty until his death. She later met Peter Doets, a farmer in Plenty and the two married on March 1, 1973 in Saskatoon, then leaving her job at the telephone office to become a farmer's wife.
Peter and Isobel ran the farm there until he retired after which the two enjoyed traveling together, taking bus tours to places like the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee and to baseball games in various U.S. states. Their trip to Hawaii was a highlight in their travels.
Isobel was in declining health in the last couple of years as was her husband. The two were placed in St. Joseph's Health Centre in Macklin, SK together in December, 2013. She passed away Sunday, May 22 at 5:15 a.m. at St. Joe's and leaves behind her husband and many nieces and nephews and friends in the Plenty area.
Following her wishes, she will be cremated and buried in the Plenty Cemetery at a later date.
