Obituary of Jacob Bichel

Jack Bichel was born on October 16, 1936 in Macklin, Saskatchewan to Frank and Annie Bichel. He passed away peacefully in the Peace River Hospital on February 20, 2012 at the age of 75 years. Jack enjoyed his new home in Peace River - meeting and making new friends. One thing he looked forward to was receiving his daily phone call from George - a genuine friend he came to appreciate greatly. Jack talked about his buddies which would lead to lots of laughter and a smile that curled his lips to instantly have that stinker look. One thing he liked to mention was that George was not carrying his share of the wood - although no one knew the story behind this, there was always laughter that followed this saying. Jack always enjoyed the many visits and the mandatory card game that came with every visit - he enjoyed it even more if he won. Jack will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Randy (Giselle) Bichel, Cheryl (Marty) Banack, Darrell Bichel, Arlen Bichel, Noel (Danny) Niehaus; sister, Rose Weinkauf; ten grandchildren; and to rule the roost, seven great granddaughters; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Jack was predeceased by his wife, Lynn; sisters, Margaret, Jenny and Christina; brothers, Tony and Clem.
