Back in 1964, at the age of 18, I took flying lessons in Wainwright along with Sigurd. It was a lot of fun, and I remember Sig probably was more in love with it than anyone. And he was determined! Ground school was not that easy.
My dad, Scot Steele from Edgerton, and I flew into Provost one day, and walked up to Sigurds place for coffee and we had a good visit, all about flying. He drove us back to the landing strip. Rumour has it that Sig flew right up until he reached the Stop sign. What a gift! I know how flying can just be in your blood. Forever.

Condolences to all the Angeltvedt Familys. Siguard was always interested in what you did and how your family was, he had lots of cattle stories (Proud of his Herefords) and a joke to tell, he always made the coffee role entertaining. He will be missed by all.

Our sincere sympathy to all of Sig's families. You all know the wit and humour Sig had, and I'm sure you didn't always appreciate it. Now in the days ahead as you mourn the loss of him, you can share stories of the the pranks and jokes that were so much a part of him, and hopefully you will all be laughing together and reminding each other of more stories and more laughter - that's what he would want. Your parents were good neighbors, and lots of fun and good times were shared. I do know that every year there will be "hundreds" of people saying "hurray, hurray, it's the first of May...........", and thinking of your Dad with big smiles on our faces!! Sorry we are unable to attend the funeral, we will be away.
