Richard, Daryl and Maurice, So sad to hear about the passing of Auntie Doris, it is a shame that we didn’t know! We would have made the trip to Czar to attend her service! Sharon was at a reunion and was talking to Jerry Walston and he mentioned it! Family needs to keep in touch and we thank you that you attended both our Mom and Dads memorial! Very sad to hear of Doris' passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Doris' family at this time, especially Maurice, a good friend. Doris and my mom, Doris, were best of friends. Doris was very kind to visit mom for all the years she was in the Senior's Lodge in Provost. Both ladies grew up during the same era, both endured challenging times during their youth and both became strong, caring mothers and well respected, community-minded women. So sorry to hear about Auntie Doris. She was a wonderful lady. I always remember the old farm house with the set of stairs to the bedrooms from the kitchen and the smell of fried chicken. She can now be with Uncle Neil - the most handsome cowboy in the world. My sincere condolences to Richard, Daryl, Maurice and families.

Joan made a donation to Czar Luthern Cemetery I have so many happy childhood memories of my wonderful aunt. It was always so much fun to stay with Auntie Doris and be with her baking cookies, picking berries, visiting friends and neighbours and looking after my three little cousins. I will always cherish these precious memories of my favourite auntie.
