My sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband and dad. I met Howie at the nursing home when visiting my Dad. Howie taught my Dad the ropes as he called it, when dad became a resident there almost two years ago. Howie left a lasting impression on me as a caring man, always looking out for others, and making the best of a situation. May your memories fill the emptiness left with his passing.

Lorna, my thoughts and prayers are with you, during this difficult time... Howie, was one of a kind, and will dearly missed for his sense of humor, his kind heart and his enormous smile....he was one man who made an impact on my life.... even though this was well over 10 years ago, i will never forget his daily run thru the drive thru at A&W every morning... you were gauranteed to see that smiling face every morning no matter what, and no matter what was going on when Howie did not see a smile on your face he made sure you had one before he left that drive thru window.... and i think of him often and chuckle every time i drive thru town to the farm.... thanks for the wisdom and smile Howie.... rest in peace Big Guy...

Deepest Sympathy Lorna and family: We had many great memories of Howie. We enjoyed the year our son Don played hockey with Provost Bantam hockey team, I remember having a great time on our trip to Beaverlodge for Provincials. Howie will be missed he always had time for a visit and his smile and humor could light up any room he was in. Thanks for sharing Howie with us.

Sending my condolences to the family. I will always be grateful for the many kindnesses Howie showed me. One of the many was when I was pregnant he had me park my car at the depot and he would start it 15 minutes before I finished work so it would be warm. He always had a hello and a smile for everyone. Howie will be missed by many and leave behind many good memories.
