Family reunion in the mid-1970s, Steve, me, and cousin Marylin, too much booze go for a ride in Steve's car. It starts to hail and he goes rushing back to "his" fields with me yelling "what are you going to do once you get there?" He just got angry; no answer. Fast forward 40 some years. Again at a family reunion we are batteling each other to "win" a family quilt. I finally dropped out. Steve bought it and he and Lynn came and gave it to me. My husband, Bob, and I still cry at the memory.
