Aunt Carole loved to be in the kitchen. When I was youger I spent time on the weekends and summer vacation in the kitchen with Carole. She took the time to write out and teach me how to make many of Grandma Elizabeth's recipes and shared many of her own recipes with me. The kitchen time listening to stories of her life laced with cooking tips were very precious. Carole taught me how to enjoy my time in the kitchen, to cook and bake with love and over the years I have seen the comfort that a good meal or great cinamon bun can bring. It wassn't just about mixing up a recipe, it was about putting ingredients together with love. I will forever treasure and continue to use the many wonderful recipes she passed along, including the amazing cinamon buns. Gail

I am so glad that I got to call you Grandma. Grandma you were such a great person to be around. I loved all the things that you did for a person. You were one real good baker from your maccaroni with crackers on top to your sweets like chocolate cake, cinnamon buns, ginger snaps.... and a bunch more. I will truly miss you being around at family functions and what not. I am glad I got to know you for 19 almost 20 years. I hope that you rest in peace and that we get to meet again one day. Right from the first time I met Carole, she made me feel like I was part of the family. I will miss her smile, cinnamon buns, company, and most of all her laugh.(it was priceless!) She was the type of person that you were compelled to hug and kiss each time you seen her. I may have only known her for a short period, but she made me feal like we knew each other much longer. I could not have asked for a better mother in law. I will miss you Mom! LOVE YA!!
