Please share a memory of Armella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Armella Rose was born on March 31, 1926 on her parents farm west of Glenn Eden School. She was the third oldest daughter of Finley and Ida (Kokesch) Koehmstedt. She had 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Armella married Leo Sieben on June 5, 1950. They were blessed with 5 children who were born in various places in Alberta and Saskatchewan. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. The two top priorities in Armella's life were her family and her faith. Armella was a member of the Denzil CWL and also the Denzil Discing Club.
As a homemaker, Armella supported her family. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards and Polka Fests throughout the area. Armella enjoyed many hours of gardening, which included meticulously grooming her vegetables and flowers.
She welcomed all into her home; family, grandkids, friends and strangers alike (including the Fuller Brush Salesman). They would be treated to a variety of meals, which typically included her famous molasses or cinnamon buns. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, which brought a smile or laugh to many. This continued throughout her whole life and into her final days. Armella was respectful, polite and always said "thank you", no matter what the situation was. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Armella will be lovingly remembered forever by her children, Garry (Holly) and their family, Aleea (Catlin), Alyssa (Lewis), Alayna, Alora and Ryan; †Dale (Audrey) (David) and their families, Collin (Amber), Kimberly (Shane), Janelle (Ryley), Melanie (Steve), Nicky (Bert), Wendy (Bill), Roxy (Chris), Curtis (Kelly); Murray (Michelle) and their family, Danielle (Chris), Ciara (Mike) and †Colby; Yvonne (Leonard) and their boys Christopher and Matthew; Floyd (Roxy) and fur-friend, Squidge; 30 great-grandchildren; twin sisters, Loreen and Doreen as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
