Obituary of Helen Margaret Middleton

Helen Margaret was born September 13, 1935 to Margaret & William Hamilton in St. Therese, Quebec. On Wednesday, May 9, 2012, Helen passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 76 years. Helen and Bruce moved to Wainwright in 1959 and were active members of the community both through business and volunteering. They founded the Honey Pot Restaurant in 1979 and later ran the MacKenzie House Bed & Breakfast. Helen dedicated her life to her family, friends and community. She will be dearly missed by all. Helen's life and memory will be celebrated by her children, Steve (Darlene), Pat (Blaine), Jean, Gwen (Ed), and Marty; grandchildren, Jamie (Dan), Michela (Blair), Gordon, Sean, Bodicca (Jordan), Azlyn (Kyle), MacKenzie, Shelby, Jacob, Keaton, Duncan, Connor, Kyla (Josh) and Ryley (Amanda); as well as many extended relatives and friends. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Bruce; step daughter, Tara and her siblings The family wishes to thank Dr. Gordon Anderson, all the nurses and staff at the Wainwright Health Centre Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care over the last two weeks. A celebration of Helen's life will take place on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wainwright Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ryan Wood officiating. Interment to follow at the Wainwright Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Wainwright Health Foundation Palliative Care or the Alzheimer's Society.
