Edward Bernard Weinkauf was born on November 8, 1952 in Macklin, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Katherine Weinkauf. He was the tenth child in a family of ten. Ed grew up and helped on the family farm south of Macklin while attending St. Mary's School and Macklin School, where he graduated in 1972. After high school, Edward entered the work force and spent many years working with Darrell Klein Floorcovering in Provost, Alberta. He carried his carpentry skills into building pieces of furniture for his family and grandchildren. Ed enjoyed being active and always had a project on the go.
