Howard was born to the proud parents Fay & Eileen (Gilbank) Bogstie on December 17, 1939 in Calgary, AB. Howard passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital on October 10, 2009 at the age of 69 years. Butch is lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Doreen; Children, Gaylene (Darrell) Anholt of Hughenden and their children, Joshua (Chantelle), Jesse, Courtney (Jason) & their daughter, Kaleigh Rose, Clayton (Amy), Colton (Randi), Riley (Alecia); Valerie (Roger) Mielke of Provost and their children, Calvin, Travis, Sheldon (Sharle) & their daughter, Liley Dawn; Dean (Jodie) Bogstie of Camrose and their children, Myles & Tashina; Shawn (May) Bogstie of Taiwan; Brother, Duane (Barb) Bogstie of Sherwood Park; and sister, Jackie Hovde of Hughenden.
