Obituary of Larry Albert Dambrowsky
Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Larry Albert Dambrowsky was born in Provost, Alberta on March 21, 1945 to Walter and Bertha Dambrowsky; he was number 3 of 4 children with older sister Joyce and brothers Ray and Danny. Larry was raised on a farm just south of Czar with some of his extended family who are true friends.
Larry married the love of his life Mary Boomhower on November 28 1970; together they raised two children Doug (Trisha - Hayle, Ethan and Dillan), and Tracy (Richard - Samantha and Sheldon) in the Czar area.
Larry was predeceased by his parents; son-in-law Dennis; brother, Ray and sister, Joyce.
Larry enjoyed farming and was a journeyman mechanic for many years. The highlights of his life were watching hockey (especially his grandson's games), spending hours tinkering on the farm, fencing and checking on his herd. Mary was always his right hand man and it wasn't often the two were not together.
Larry enjoyed his daily morning coffee visits with Tracy and Mary at the house and then again with Richard at the shop. Doug spent countless hours working with his dad and even when Larry's health started to deteriorate Doug always knew he was a phone call away for advice on how to fix whatever was broken or which cow may have given them trouble in the past. If an old part was needed by anyone Larry was sure to know exactly where it was on the farm.
Larry also enjoyed watching his granddaughter's on stage throughout their dancing careers and would be sure to ask about awards that were won. He would often laugh at the spunkiness of both the girls.
Larry was always a community minded man who did not hesitate to help when and where he could.
He will be greatly missed by all.
